My glazes, my textures

I would like to introduce you to the different glazes and textures that I have discovered by telling you part of their story. I voluntarily do not publish any explicit recipe because it is not interesting and even counterproductive according to me, but I give you some information that may help some of you to follow your own path...

iron blue enamel test

Enamel is a look, a color, an effect, a recipe, a mixture of raw materials, an emotion and... a story! And what a pleasure with this story! After hundreds of attempts, hours of waiting, moments of disappointment, encouragement, comes the moment when it appears. We improve it and we start to test it on some pieces, we tame it and we finally understand it...

Unlike glazes, the textures are more easily grasped. Obviously, I am not comparing here the ready-made glazes that can be bought in the shops. The textures can come from prints taken from nature, man-made patterns such as embroidery, wall plaster. The choice is also infinite on this side.

We can also create texture effects with the help of tools. A pen cap will appear as a circle, half a bamboo as an arc of a circle that can remind the petals of a flower...
